Of course we have great health and income protection plans, but it's our liberal paid time off, adoption gift benefit, and many other programs that really set us apart.

Our focus on our employees doesn't end with innovative benefits. Company wide emphasis on continued Learning and Development, Child Development Centers and flexible work hours are just a few of the other programs intended to ensure employees enjoy a health work/life balance.

The following benefits are effective on the employee's date of hire for regular employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week.

Adoption Benefit Program
Designed to help you offset the costs of adopting a child. The program will reimburse 100% of all eligible legal, medical, and agency fees related to the adoption, up to a set maximum.

Dental
Coverage for dental services is offered to employees through the ODS Delta Dental Plan. Delta Premier is the PPO network for this plan throughout the United States. Employees in Oregon and SW Washington that choose Kaiser Permanente for medical care have the option of selecting dental coverage through ODS Delta Dental or Kaiser of Oregon.

Dependent Care Information and Referral Program
Company paid and available to employees and their dependents. Offers both child care and adult/elder care resources, counseling and educational services.

Dependent Care Spending Account
Opportunity for employees to pay for unreimbursed child, disabled dependent, or elderly dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis.

Dependent Care Subsidy: Mentor Graphics subsidizes contributions to the Dependent Care Spending Account for employees whose annual gross household income is less than $60,000.

Employee Assistance Program
Company paid coverage available to employees and their eligible dependents offering voluntary, confidential counseling.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan
Employees are eligible to participate in the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. This program allows employees the opportunity to purchase Mentor Graphics shares at a discount.

Flexible Time Off (FTO)
Provides paid time off for employee vacations, sick leave and personal business.

Health Care Spending Account
Opportunity for employees to pay for unreimbursed health care expenses on a pre-tax basis.

Life Insurance and AD&D
Company paid basic coverage equivalent to two times an employee's base annual earnings, including commissions, plus an additional two times their base annual earnings, including commissions, if death is due to an accident.

At the employee's expense, additional coverage for the employee is available. Evidence of insurability may be required.

At the employee's expense, spouse and child life insurance coverage is available. Evidence of insurability may be required.

Medical
Coverage is offered to employees through the Mentor Graphics PPO Medical Plan.

Employees in Oregon and S.W. Washington have the option of selecting medical and dental coverage through an HMO, Kaiser Permanente of Oregon.

Northern California employees have the option of selecting medical coverage through an HMO, Kaiser Permanente of Northern California.

MIDAS 401(k) Plan
Employees are eligible to contribute up to 75% of their pre-tax pay through payroll deduction. Participation may begin with the first pay period following date of hire or any other pay period after that.

The Company will match 50% of the first 6% of the employee's contributions after the employee has completed 90 days of service. 

Miscellaneous Benefits
Baby Wise: Prenatal Care Education Program, provides expectant mothers with a toll free 24-hour-a-day, seven days a week, nurse phone line as well as informative educational materials.

Lactation Program: Mentor Graphics supports female employees who make the choice to continue nursing their infant when they return to work from maternity leave. The Lactation Program provides for information on breast feeding and referral to certified lactation consultants and locked private rooms and electric breast pumps are available at our Wilsonville and San Jose sites.

Tuition Reimbursement: Employees are eligible for the $4,000 tuition reimbursement benefit each year for accredited courses including registration fee, tuition, lab fees and textbooks. Manager's pre-approval is required.

Credit Union Services: Include savings, checking, loans, etc.

Employee Referral Bonuses: Available for most posted open positions, when a candidate (external) referred by an employee is hired.

Prescription Coverage
The Mentor Graphics PPO Medical Plan provides prescription coverage through Advance PCS (APCS). When using a network pharmacy you will have a copay for your prescriptions. Maintenance prescriptions (90 day supply) are also covered by APCS.

If you choose to participate in one of the HMO options, your prescription drug benefits are provided under the terms of the HMO Plan.

Short and Long Term Disability
Company paid coverage provides short term disability benefits for the first 6 months. The company offers employees the choice of one of two long-term disability plans.

Vision
Offered through the Vision Service Plan for employees enrolled in the Mentor Graphics PPO Medical Plan or one of the HMO options.
