Product Description

The Ultra Librarian is designed to streamline the creation of cad libraries several different ways. Primary to its function is the ability to create components from manufacturer specifications. In addition it allows existing libraries to be imported and "standardized", it creates new components to a customer specified standard, and it exports to multiple cad tools saving time and energy in the normal upkeep of multiple tool libraries. It allows managing large libraries by storing the data about components in a database format. It allows searching, selection and addition to libraries based on parametric searches.

• Creates new components, including PCB footprints, Schematic Symbols and the intelligence gating, pin swapping etc, that makes them up from a simple data entry screen. Data input from a component spec sheet is computed based on consumer-defined standards to create the appropriate component data as well as footprints and symbols. Each entry of data updates a visual picture of the entities being created. As the entities are created diagrams are created to document the entity.

• Spreadsheet style import of symbol data using simple cut and paste functionality even from Adobe Acrobat specification documents. Import pin data from ASCII files or Excel spreadsheets.

• Database access to component information and parameters. Provides a quick method of selecting and viewing of components already created in a library and stored in database format. Selected components can be moved into the current library, modified, or exported to multiple systems. Database access can be customized to link directly into your company database, storing appropriate library data in a separate but linked database.

• Provides detailed documentation of each component including a picture of the component and all data that was provided to create the component.
• Supports Multiple CAD tools. Capable of exporting matching libraries to multiple cad tools, even if "dis-similar" in nature, and still allows intelligent connection between schematic data and PCB data.

Description of Integration

All products are Interfaced to BoardStation through custom AMPLE software. Expedition libraries are created in ASCII format for import through the library manager. ESP libraries are created using the ASCII format for symbol data. Pads data is created in ASCII format for import through the library manager.
