Adiva Corporation
- PCB Design and Manufacturing Simulation and Validation
Product Description
While newer CAD systems have reduced the time to design a board, the time to manufacture, assemble, and test your design have remained the same. If a problem occurs, the process must be repeated, adding more time and cost to the project. You will use the ADIVA signal integrity tools in parallel with the design to verify your critical nets. These features are especially important if multiple engineers are involved in the design concurrently. Nets can be checked and compared to other nets; dozens of checks can be performed within a net or comparing one net to another. As your designs reach higher signal speeds, this signal integrity validation tool becomes a requirement for signal validation.
The ADIVA Design for Assembly (DFA) tools will virtually assemble the board. The DFA tools also run concurrent with the design cycle. Errors in the assembly process are found through software… not on the assembly line. Fixing assembly errors at this stage cost minutes not days.
Once the CAD design is complete, ADIVA then builds the “virtual board; (soft board). The virtual board will use the tools that are the output from the CAD package, not the design data, but the actual tools to be sent to the manufacturer. ADIVA will then ‘manufacture the board’ in software and use its Design for Manufacturing (DFM) tools to verify production. The tools consist of more than 100 unique validation checks for errors that were missed by the designer and/or the CAD system. Our Net Compare tools are the most accurate tools available to seek and find fabrication error before the tool are sent for PCB manufacturing
Finally, our ADIVAview product allows you and others to view the layers, the nets, and the components while proving an extensive list of signal and net data to perform a variety of analysis on the circuits and the stack up. This viewer can be shared with others in your company and even with your manufacturing partners.
Using the ADIVA tool set will help you to quickly and with minimal effort validate the design before money and time are wasted in the build cycle. Our goals are the same, we want the first design to be as good as possible and meet the goals and time lines of the project.
Benefits to End User of Product and Interface to MGC
- Fast and straightforward export of design and manufacturing data from Board Station or Fablink
- Thorough Independent Analysis of data
- Errors and Concerns transparently synched back to the design
Company Background
ADIVA was founded 15 years ago as a Design Service with the one thought in mind… speed up the design cycle of Printed Circuit Boards. We realized that the design cycle takes 90% of the time to develop and introduce a product to market. ADIVA began to focus on using software to change this parameter. The software tools become successful because ADIVA tools are built by PCB designers for PCB designers. ADIVA has since transformed itself into a software only company focused on building the best design validation tools.Description of Integration
All products are Interfaced to BoardStation through custom AMPLE software. Design Intent Information Is extracted from the CAD Database, necessary data files are generated and transferred to the ADIVA Software, and the results are merged back with the design data.
