Product Description

TestWay & QuadView are complementary products to the Mentor design and PCB Layout environment that facilitate a concurrent approach to test engineering. TestWay provides PC board, electrical DfT Analysis that enables designers to validate designs at the schematic capture stage, to ensure that adequate measures have been included to comply with manufacturers test requirements. It allows automatic testability analysis of multiple complementary test strategies to be conducted by design or test engineers at the earliest opportunity within the design cycle. Testability violations are explained in a synthetic natural language report. The available rules are from MIL-STD-2165, IEEE-1149.x and other industry requirements.

Engineers can verify testability, plan test strategies (AOI, AXI, ICT, MDA, FPT, BST and FT), predict fault coverage and assign test points during the schematic design stage. Resulting in fewer test problems, fewer test points, lower test fixture costs, higher test quality and faster time to market. The testability report is fully interactive with the QuadView layout and schematic viewer that provides graphical visualization of DfT violations and test coverage analysis.Creates new components, including PCB footprints, Schematic Symbols and the intelligence gating, pin swapping etc, that makes them up from a simple data entry screen. Data input from a component spec sheet is computed based on consumer-defined standards to create the appropriate component data as well as footprints and symbols. Each entry of data updates a visual picture of the entities being created. As the entities are created diagrams are created to document the entity.
