CST STUDIO SUITE™ comprises CST’s 3D EM simulation tools:

- CST MICROWAVE STUDIO® (CST MWS) solves general electromagnetic field problems such as signal transmission, crosstalk radiated emission in full 3D. The user can choose between time domain and frequency domain analysis.

- CST MWS also provides S-parameter or SPICE circuits for further use.

Description of Integration
CST MICROWAVE STUDIO® at the prelayout analysis stage can be used to create extremely accurate S-parameters to be included in system level tools like Hyperlynx, ICX, or ePlanner. At the postlayout verification stage CST MWS can now import multi-layer structures, including vias, from exported GERBER. PADS, Expedition, and Boardstation can easily generate the appropriate GERBER output. The complete 3 dimensional models can be studied with transient or frequency domain, full wave analysis, providing unprecedented insight into cross-talk, radiated emission, and signal and power integrity issues in general. The resultant S-parameters could again be exported to ICX or ePlanner as a final verification of the board.
