SpeedXP Suite (SPEED2000, PowerSI, PowerDC, Broadband SPICE)
Sigrity SpeedXP Suite, a set of software tools including SPEED2000, PowerSI, PowerDC and Broadband SPICE, is used for advanced analysis of power delivery and signal distribution systems in high performance integrated circuit (IC) packages and printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Product Description
SpeedXP Suite, the next generation of advanced power and signal integrity tools, provides ultra-fast, accurate, full-wave, electrical analysis of leading edge IC packages and PCBs. Using patented technologies, SpeedXP’s ultra-fast electromagnetic field solver accounts for coupling between vias, crosstalk, reflection from edges, resonance, power and ground voltage fluctuations, and electromagnetic radiation. SpeedXP can be applied to pre- and post-layout power and signal integrity analysis and used in evaluating decoupling capacitor placement, and synthesizing highly accurate SPICE models from multi-port S parameters.

Benefits to End User of Product and Interface to MGC
The integration between SpeedXP and Mentor Graphics’ board physical design solutions will enable users to complement their high-speed PCB design solutions with advanced analysis of power delivery systems and signal integrity. SpeedXP enables transient, electromagnetic analysis that takes into account interactions between the power delivery system (including split planes) and critical signal interconnects over an entire physical structure.

More specifically, this interface will enable Board Station, Expedition and PADS users to analyze power and ground distribution systems, evaluate decoupling capacitor placement, and assess the effects of current return path discontinuities – all of which are increasingly important challenges encountered in today’s high-speed designs.
