Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Tag Design Cookbook

Details

Overview

Translating marketing requirements into a working RFID tag design presents challenges for even an experienced tag designer.

This webinar will cover the entire RFID tag design process, from concept to finished layout, using IE3D as the EM simulation solution.

Topics include:

  • defining the initial RFID design parameters,
  • the ground plane,
  • the substrate layers,
  • the conductors,
  • creating the layout,
  • modeling the tag's electrical behavior, and
  • optimizing the design to meet the marketing requirements.

Whether you're a novice or experienced RFID tag and antenna designer, if you're looking to improve your overall design methodology and device electrical models, this is a must-see event!

What You Will Learn

  • The conversion of marketing requirement into engineering requirements needed to design a RFID tag
  • Use of Mentor Graphic's IE3D EM solution as the design tool for the circuit
  • How to extract performance data for the tag also using IE3D
