Next week in Gothenburg the 10th GENIVI All-Members meeting is taking place. At the Demonstration Showcase on Wednesday 21st May, Mentor Graphics Embedded Software will present a wide array of Infotainment integrations, covering in-house technology, as well as leading partner solutions.
The technology on dsiplay will include:
We will have a GENIVI compliant Linux Infotainment system running alongside an AUTOSAR 4.0.3 Instrument Cluster on the same Jacinto 6 SoC from Texas Instruments. This example shows multiple operating systems running on a single SoC, with secure communication between the different applications. The HMI is developed using Qt 5.0
Tethered Smart Devices
In collaboration with software partner RealVNC, we will show how smart phones and tablets can be operated from an automotive infotainment home-screen. RealVNC provide integration solutions for most popular devices, including Apple iOS and Android devices, and the software platform is pre-integrated into Mentor Automotive Technology Platform (ATP)
Mentor Graphics has partnered with multi-media specialist Jungo, and the MediaCore solution provides comprehensive multi-media management, ranging from intelligent and optimized handling of media items to playback and streaming functionality.
We will showcase vehicle network and ECU design tools, from our VSx suite, as well as the run-time VSTAR software stack, which supports all popular network protocols, such as CAN, LIN, FlexRay and Ethernet on popular MCU platforms. Increasingly GENIVI compliant components need to co-exist with AUTOSAR ECUs on a modern vehicle network, and we have set up a master/slave FlexRay ECU demonstration based on Freescale Bolero MCUs
The Mentor Embedded Hypervisor will be demonstrated, providing support for multiple software operating systems. The technology is available on several ARM-based platforms, and covers heterogeneous mixed-core SoCs to provide secure and supervised application operation.
Please come and visit us from 5:30 – 8:00 PM at the Gothia Towers Hotel in Gothenburg next Wednesday!
