Next Week at Freescale Technology Forum: Internet Of Things Connectivity

Next week from Tuesday, April 8th through Friday, April 11th we’ll be joining many of our embedded developer colleagues at Freescale Techology Forum in Dallas, TX.  Before you spend a few hours at the Dallas Arboretum, stop by the Mentor Embedded booth to learn how to solve the challenges of secure connectivity for Automotive, Industrial, Medical and Smart Energy to integrate them into the Internet of Things (IoT).  We’ll be giving away a GoPro HERO 3+ camera and have the following demos on display:

  • Minimizing power consumption for battery operated IoT devices
  • Introducing secure connectivity and data storage for IoT (for more in IoT connectivity, click here)
  • Creating Linux based Automotive IVI (see this link for additional info on Linux-based IVI)
  • Consolidating Connectivity, IVI and Instrument Clusters on i.MX 6 SoCs with a Hypervisor  (see our Hypervisor page for more on this)
  • Designing AUTOSAR based engine control units (ECUs)
  • Creating connected smart meters and home appliances
  • Delivering high performance graphical applications — if you’re interested in a video demo on UI performance, click here

We’ve also got a handful of paper presentations being given by our team members:

Tuesday, April 8th:

Embedded UI Performance Optimization, by Ricardo Anguino, 3:15 – 4:15

Wednesday April 9th:

Securing Data with ARM TrustZone, by Felix Baum, 10:30 – 11:30

AUTOSAR Vehicle Design Automoation, by Andrew Patterson, 3:00 – 4:00
