Overview

Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, or ADAS, are intended to help a driver in the driving process. Familiar examples include Lane Departure Warnings include Collision Avoidance. This joint session with session with CogniVue® and Mentor Embedded will review the key techniques for developing ADAS systems using vision systems as well as effective ways to meet the performance and responsiveness needs of ADAS systems with the use of a real time operating system such as Nucleus®

About the Presenters

Presenter Image Andrew Patterson

Andrew Patterson is Business Development Director for Mentor Graphics embedded division, specializing in the automotive market. Prior to Mentor Andrew has spent over 20 years in the Design Automation market specializing in a wide range of technologies including wire harness design, automotive simulation model development, virtual prototyping, and mechatronics. Currently he is focused on working with the GENIVI industry alliance, and leading Mentor’s Infotainment and in-vehicle Electronic Cluster and Telematics solutions. Andrew holds a master’s degree in Engineering and Electrical Sciences from Cambridge University, UK.

Presenter Image Tom Wilson

Tom Wilson is Vice President of Business Development at CogniVue Corporation, with more than 20 years of experience in various applications such as consumer, automotive, and telecommunications. He has held leadership roles in engineering, sales and product management, and has a Bachelor’s of Science and PhD in Science from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada. Tom has spent the last 4 years in the automotive vision market and has written and presented multiple papers on automotive vision and ADAS applications.

What do I need to watch and hear this web seminar?

Mentor Graphics’ web seminars are delivered using Adobe Connect. You will be able to login to the seminar room 15 minutes prior to the start time on the day of the presentation.
