Overview
There is immense pressure to deliver products on time, within budget, and with differentiated features that surpass competitive products. The embedded software components, including the graphical User Interface (UI), traditionally require hardware to fully validate the functionality and to interact with the Human Machine Interface (HMI). Fortunately, this is no longer the case.
This workshop provides a detailed look at accelerating the design cycle by utilizing host simulation technology to build, debug, and test complete embedded systems, including a touch screen graphical User Interface (UI), without the need for hardware. You will see how the interaction with external stimuli, such as networks, can easily be integrated into designs, enabling the look and feel of the final device to be evaluated on a host simulation environment well ahead of production.

- 9:30 - 10:00am - Registration
- 10:00 – 10:30 am – Introduction to host simulation technology for embedded development
- 10:30 – 11:30 am – How to build, debug, and test embedded software without hardware
- 11:30 – 12:00 am – Break / working lunch
- 12:00– 1:15 pm – Hands on training: design a simple UI without coding, test it in host simulation, package it for electronic shipment, and then port the UI to a hand-held device
- 1:15 – 2:00 pm – Wrap-up / Q&A.
