Embedding LCDs into Designs On-Demand Web Seminar
On-demand Web Seminar
ABSTRACT
Overview
Embedded devices designed for consumer use - from portable medical products for the home, to in-car entertainment centers and even high-end white goods - increasingly offer so many functions that a sophisticated touch screen LCD user interface is required to control them. Pressure to use low end components - in an effort to minimize bill of materials and power consumption - competes with the need to deliver a compelling and responsive user experience. Here we discuss how both goals may be attained with a new kind of user interface technology specifically designed for the needs of such appliances.
