Developing state-of -the-art user interfaces for today's set-top box, TV, and IPTV applications
White Paper
ABSTRACT
There is a quiet but significant change happening with TVs, Internet protocol TVs (IPTVs), and set-top box (STB) user interfaces (UIs). Triggered by the advances in UIs on portable products like tablets and smartphones, TV UIs are becoming much more dynamic, richer, and, in some cases, 3D. This paper describes what is happening in TV UIs, why this change is happening, and how device manufacturers can create UIs that can meet or exceed consumer expectations.
