Mentor® Embedded Performance Library for Freescale’s AltiVec Technology Preliminary Function List Specification
White Paper
ABSTRACT
Mentor Embedded will release a new low-level HPC library of advanced math and signal processing functions, optimized for the latest version of the Freescale AltiVec processing engine. To assist engineers in planning future products, we’re offering a free preview list of functions that will be available in this library. They include:
- Element-wise vector functions
- Reduction functions
- Real/complex conversion functions
- 1D and 2D FFT functions
- Linear algebra functions
- General signal processing functions
- FIR and IIR filter functions
- 1D and 2D convolution and correlation functions
- Image processing functions
Library release date: Second-half 2012
Who should download: Developers of high performance software for the AltiVec QorIQ AMP series processors, including radar image processing and target tracking, navigation systems, medical diagnostic imaging, video surveillance systems, printing and other computationally intensive embedded applications.
