Next Generation UI's in Home Appliances
Product Demo
ABSTRACT

In the increasingly competitive home appliance device markets, multimedia-enabled products must offer a visually compelling and easy-to-use experience if they are to succeed. The user interface can be enabled to show the device’s status, enable the control of the device or simply show the diagnostics of the system.
Mentor’s Inflexion UI technology enables the more rapid delivery of home appliance user interfaces.
The following demonstration illustrates simple functionality of a simulated digital refrigerator running on Nucleus RTOS. In the demonstration, users can browse through the main menu for different options, such as reviewing the status of the door, or water dispenser; or simply child locking the door, controlling the temperature or configuring the system. In addition, the demonstration shows how different types of the digital refrigerator diagnostics can be shown as part of the user interface.
The demonstration runs on Nucleus OS with the Nucleus LCD driver, touch panel and input management middleware and uses Inflexion UI technology for the user interface.
This video is compatible with iPhone,
iPad, & iPod Touch.
