8th ESL Symposium: Panelists to discuss trends and report experiences

Many things jump to mind when I recall last year’s DAC in San Francisco. But I remember really well the scramble to find a seat in the auditorium packed with the 300 other attendees of the ESL Symposium.

For sure, this event should not be missed this year either. In Anaheim, and for the 8th year in a row, a panel of industry experts will discuss the driving forces in ESL and share their thoughts and experiences in using electronic system level design methodologies for multi-core, high performance and low power architectures.

The panel, moderated by Ed Sperling of System-Level Design, will feature representatives from ARM, Freescale, Medtronic, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys and TSMC. And to kick things off, Wally Rhines will address the audience with a keynote speech.

That’s a promising agenda and an exciting set of industry representatives. I’ll be there for sure, and not because of the free lunch or iPad drawing. So mark you calendars and register today. The 8th ESL Symposium will be held Tuesday, June 15th from 12:00pm  to 1:30pm

About Thomas Bollaert

imageMy first encounter with HLS, back then behavioural synthesis, dates more than 15 years. Since then my ventures have led me to explore many aspects of the ESL design flow, including HW/SW co-design, architecture exploration and of course, C synthesis. Five years ago, I joined Mentor to develop the Catapult C product line in Europe. Recently, my little family followed me all the way from Paris to Oregon, where I now serve as product marketing manager for Mentor Graphics' high-level synthesis product line.
