Lunchtime Sesions

12:25-13:15: Education over lunch

Topology-based Design

This tutorial will investigate the Capital Topology-assisted, interactive design flow. Its role and value along the full breadth of the design process will be demonstrated. Methodology, approach, and data flow will all be covered in this informally styled session.

P3roven Deployment Methodology

Technical software is purchased because it delivers value to organizations. As software develops and the value it delivers increases, so it is important to compress the time to obtain that value. This interactive tutorial explores the methodology Mentor has developed to speed Capital deployments and maximize value delivery. Known as P3roven, the methodology combines good project management practice with technical advice specific to the Capital products. The session describes some of the tools within P3roven and recounts projects where the methodology has been used.

Providing Early Analysis of System Components Connected through the Wire Harness

This product session demonstrates how to create and configure a design with Capital Logic, then simulate and analyze with SystemVision. Simulation models are associated with various Capital objects, and a design created. Simulation using SystemVision can then be invoked directly from within Capital Logic. In SystemVision, the design may be analyzed with time-domain and frequency-domain simulations, as well as advanced analysis options, such as Monte Carlo, Parametric Sweep, Sensitivity, Worst-Case Analysis, etc. With this tool integration, systems design engineers can analyze interactions such as data network signal integrity, wire and fuse sizing under static and dynamic loading conditions, load balance, and battery/alternator capacity analysis.
