Course Overview
The FPGA/ASIC Design Assurance using ReqTracer™ course will help students learn how to automate the tracing of design requirements to design and test data associated with an FPGA or ASIC design. This class is targeted at engineers and technical managers tasked with carrying out design assurance activities needed to certify for customers or regulatory agencies that the device performs its intended function.
This one day class covers setting up a ReqTracer project, interfacing to requirements/design/test data, establishing traceability analysis, and generating custom reports.
Hands-on lab exercises will reinforce lecture and discussion topics under the guidance of our industry expert instructors. The labs include examples of working with requirement and test data in a variety of formats, such as DOORS (TM-IBM), MS Word (TM-Microsoft) and Excel (TM-Microsoft), Questa-UCDB (R-Mentor) as well as ASCII text log files.
You will learn how to
- Set up a ReqTracer project
- Interface requirements documents to ReqTracer
- Interface design data to ReqTracer
- Interface verification result data to ReqTracer
- Carry out traceability analysis, rule checking and filtering
- Customize reports
- Set up a team environment
Hands-On Labs
