Have the flexibility to move products from one SMT line to another

Firstly, let me wish you all a Happy New Year and Best Wishes for 2013. I appreciate everyone taking the time to read my blog and to also comment on the areas that we have discussed.

This week I am going to continue on from my theme from the last posting where I discussed the auto-generation capability in Valor MSS Process Preparation. I described the capability to create machine specific SMT part data from a common, neutral format. This same capability is central to being able to take a machine program from one SMT line and easily move it to another line that can have competely different machines in it, even those from another SMT equipment vendor. The auto-generation capability is used to create the target machine part library based on the original machine library data.

Imagine being able to use programs that were working on one line and quickly transfer them to another line even if the machines came from a different SMT vendor?
