Hi there

The first in a series of three webinars is now available on Mentor.com where David Wiens and myself promote Best Practices for PCB New Product Introduction. We discuss six steps that should be used to improve the speed of introducing new products in to manufacturing for both PCB designers and process engineers alike.

One of the most beneficial areas for PCB Designers is to take control of the product data and not supply many different files to fabricate, assemble and test a product. Not only does it take a lot of time to create the files in the first place but it also means a lot of time spent using the various data files in manufacture. These various flows mean a number of different design data sets are created, not just one, which in turn means a high probability for error. Anyway, I don’t want to give away too many of the recommendations in the webinar so here’s the link:

Please post your questions to our social media sites afterwards and reply to others who have posted questions.

Thanks
