Norwegian EMS Hapro Choose Valor’s Trilogy DFM
Yavne, Israel - November, 2009 - Valor Computerized Systems, global provider of productivity improvement software across the printed circuit board design and manufacturing supply chain, announces that Norwegian company Hapro has selected and successfully installed its best-practice Trilogy 5000 Design for Manufacturing Software.
EMS provider, Hapro, set out to streamline their PCB assembly process and accelerate a highly effective new product introduction process to meet current and future demand. Valor’s vManage software solution had already been incorporated in Hapro’s manufacturing process for some time and this rendered Valor an obvious choice in the selection process of a DFM solution.
“Valor’s DFM software will help us to analyze and optimize designs for zero-defect, high-quality manufacturing. The accuracy of Valor’s DFM analysis is further enhanced through the use of Valor’s Part Library (VPL) service – a massive repository containing accurate geometric data of more than 35 Million components which enable us to create a virtual PCBA in preparation for Assembly and test Analysis which will be part of the NPI solution that Hapro offers to its customers today.
Valor’s DFM software is unique, as it allows us to simulate the production process of a chosen PCB, from bare board manufacture to assembly, concurrently with the design process. It helps to optimize designs for excellence using a physical model of the PCB assembly, resulting in improved product quality, and a reduction in revision spins.” Said Erik Arnholt, the CTO of Hapro.
Stephan Häfele, President of Valor Europe, explains: “Hapro is Norway’s leading contract electronics manufacturer, so we are extremely pleased that we have been able to demonstrate and prove the significant benefits this software offers.”
Based North of Oslo, Hapro occupies a 18,000 square meter modern industrial plant, with a 900 sq. meter professional qualification centre. Hapro has an engaged and highly professional workforce of more than 500, who thrive in a creative and innovative environment. The company puts its success down to their flexible approach and high investment level in the best technology on the market, and its longevity down to its core values of honesty, openness, responsibility and respect for its customers, staff and suppliers.
