ODB++ Data Exchange Format
More accurate, more complete PCB design-to-manufacture data
ODB++ does away with reverse engineering by the manufacturer or prototyping to prove the physical aspects of the design. Better integration means better communication, resulting in quicker times to market with improved product quality. Other formats, such as Gerber and Excellon, are too simplistic and ambiguous by nature, resulting in files in multiple formats, or worst of all, scraps of paper which are sent along with design files to compensate for missing data.
