The vPlan 3-Step Approach

vPlan’s unique approach to process planning comprises three steps:

1. Define the Product

Create a virtual PCA, neutralized and validated in a BOM- centric standardized format. This lean data model forms the basis for quick change management and a tuned assembly process.

2. Define the Resources

Create virtual assembly lines includes machine specific details required to auto-generate exact machine data on demand.

3. Define the Process

Generate optimized output and documents for assembly machines and manual work cells perfectly matched to avail- able resources and to the product model.

Auto-Generation (Patented)1

Machine specific libraries are generated on demand. The auto-generation process is driven by Valor’s VPL component library of geometric data mapped to over 35 Million part numbers. The VPL data automatically synchronizes to the manufacturing BOM/AVL of each product. vPlan’s auto- generation covers all the specific machine types in the factory giving portability between lines and sites. This flexi- bility greatly contributes to improved efficiency and asset utilization.
