Implementing Lean NPI as a Business Process

The introduction of new products into the market can be a time consuming and costly exercise. Implementing a standardized Lean New Product Introduction (NPI) process for printed circuit board based products enables successful hand-off to manufacture. The NPI process defines the methods and stages required for a smooth transition from the design environment to manufacturing.

This web seminar will:

  • Explain the design-to-manufacturing flow
  • Emphasize NPI as a critical phase of product development and getting products to market
  • Explore different methods of data hand-off to manufacture
  • Illustrate Design for Manufacture (DFM) with its subsequent impact on revision spins, yield and fast volume ramp-up
  • Define Lean NPI and its effect on the overall business process

What You Will Learn

  • High-level appreciation of how New Product Introduction impacts on the business success of PCB based products. The hierarchy of NPI and the best practice stages involved in achieving a Lean New Product Implementation process.
