Xpedition 3D Layout Design

There are some challenges in integrating your PCB design process in an electro-mechanical world. The key is to left shift some of your validation back into the PCB design processes in order to find electro-mechanical design problems earlier in order to eliminate re-design late in the design cycle when change can be costly. Xpedition 3D is a new sub-flow allowing a PCB designer to visualize and edit the PCB in the context of imported mechanical design assemblies within the Xpedition layout design environment. The embedded 3D view includes the same selection, planning and placement functionality as within the Xpedition layouts 2D environment as well as a complete set of 3D constraints with dynamic collision detection and full batch verification using a true parametric 3D mechanical kernel.
