Valor MSS Software Suite for PCB Assembly from Mentor Graphics Wins New Product Introduction Award

APEX 2010, Las Vegas, Nev., April 7, 2010 - Mentor Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: MENT) today announced that it has received the Circuits Assembly New Product Introduction (NPI) Award for the Valor® MSS manufacturing systems solution suite for PCB assembly in the Software-Management category. Mentor’s Valor Division was formerly Valor Computerized Systems, Ltd. The award was presented to Dan Weitzman, Americas regional business manager for the Valor division, at the April 6 NPI Awards ceremony during APEX 2010 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Convention Center.

Premiering in 2008, the New Product Introduction Awards sponsored by Circuits Assembly Magazine is an annual celebration of product excellence in electronics surface mount assembly. Premier products based on the finest examples of creative advancement in technology are chosen by a distinguished panel of industry experts.

  • vManage, for complete SMT/PCB material control, material verification and traceability, and warehouse management, including a unique just-in-time material kitting and delivery module using real-time consumption as part of shop-floor management solutions
  • vCheck, a complete PCB quality management solution with AOI/ICT direct interfaces, enforced WIP tracking, repair loop monitoring and control, paperless factory—including synchronized delivery of detailed work instructions for board and system level assembly—and full-quality data collection with a business intelligence infrastructure, enabling Web-based dynamic reporting for full system genealogy
