Capital Autoloader

Capital Autoloader is an automated data import utility that takes data from 3rd party systems such as PDM applications and loads it automatically in to the Capital Harness library.

Data types
Capital Autoloader currently supports the following file formats: harness transfer (HTR), component transfer (CTR), material cost and price transfer (TXT).

What it does

• Capital Autoloader periodically checks the shared data-transfer repository and identifies valid data files to be loaded on to the system.
• Capital Autoloader interacts with the Capital Harness Job-Controller
  to load data on to the database.
• The Job-Controller manages the scheduling and the import of the data assigned to it by Autoloader.
• If imported successfully, Autoloader deletes the 3rd party data and writes
  a record of the event in the system configurable journal file.
• Data files that fail to load are preserved and the system reports back why the failure to load has occurred.

Some of the key features of the tool are as follows:

• Auto import
  • Automated batch file import via the Job-Controller from a pre-configured data directory.
  • Users definable auto load time interval. (Fig 1.)
• Pre-configurable import options
  • Users can define their import preferences for each type of data file loaded (harness, component and material price). (Fig 2.)
• Delete success
  • Automated directory 'cleaning' as successful load files are deleted automatically. Failed files are renamed for easy identification.
• Journal file detail
  • Extensive journal reporting provides full import history and traceability.

Product availability
