Mentor Graphics’ free, must-attend mil/aero event is less than one month away. The company has announced the event’s agenda, which includes an impressive 23 sessions. The beauty of it is that attendees, of which I am one, can essentially build their own event, tailoring the day to their exact individual needs.
To simplify things, however, Mentor Graphics officials have devised three breakout tracks on popular topics: electrical platform engineering (which is unique to the industry, as far as I am aware); system modeling, simulation, and analysis; and hardware development. Attendees can follow those tracks exactly, or mix and match topics among two or three tracks.
From 12:25 pm until 1:15 pm, attendees can take advantage of a sit-down lunch, listen in on the “education over lunch” sessions (on topology-based design, proven deployment methodology, and early analysis of system components connected through the wire harness), or test-drive tools in the solutions expo—or all three (which is what I plan to do)!
I hope you’ll consider attending IESF 2011 and making the most of the day by customizing the agenda to fit your professional needs. Take advantage, also, of the opportunity to get to know and network with other attendees. In fact, past mil/aero IESF attendees have included notable military and aerospace OEMs and suppliers. At past IESFs, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting executives and engineers from Bell Helicopter, Saab Bofors Dynamics AB, and more.
Seating is limited for Mentor Graphics’ IESF 2011 in Long Beach, so be certain to reserve your space and register online soon. This geek did!
