A major platform shift is taking place in the automotive industry. Car maker after car marker is announcing plans to shift their automotive computing infrastructure to Linux. As the operating systems take the driver's seat in a race to deliver to a high-tech experience to consumers, it's important to consider the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Linux Foundation Executive Jim Zemlin will illustrate why car makers and OEMs are choosing Linux to support the future of automotive innovation and outline how the trends in embedded systems are shaping these decisions. He will also detail how we address this opportunity with specific examples while flagging the challenges.
