Automotive Electrical Design with Manufacturing in Mind
White Paper
ABSTRACT
The electrical distribution system design process for vehicles is basically a sequence of steps performed serially. Historically each step has been an “island” with its own design tools. This paper introduces a contiguous, integrated design flow spanning the process from requirements definition to manufacturing and beyond. It recommends steps that will help harness designs move efficiently through design, through optimization, to implementation, and discusses the challenges associated with managing derivative designs and more.
