The latest release of Nucleus for Xilinx EDK is now available. This kit includes updated support for EDK's Software Application functionality, allowing you to develop, compile and link your Nucleus application directly in Xilinx EDK. Nucleus Development Tools SupportMentor Graphics offers the Eclipse-based EDGE IDE development environment, a complete development environment that supports JTAG debugging of both PowerPC and MicroBlaze processors. EDGE IDE extends the Eclipse platform for multi-core, multi-process, multi-thread debugging. It can be installed stand-alone or installed into Platform Studio SDK to provide advanced debugging and project management capabilities.
EDGE IDE is state-of-the-art debug technology that includes features such as:
- Full multi-core/multi-process/multi-thread debugging. Support for synchronous operation on multiple cores simultaneously.
- Advanced C-like scripting language (codelets)
- Data-driven target/core/peripheral descriptions (XML)

Nucleus for Xilinx EDK
- This software installation enables Nucleus PLUS RTOS, NET stack, WebServ, FILE system, and SHELL environment to be auto-configurable from Xilinx EDK, versions 7.1, 8.1, 8.2 and 9.1.
