The On-Key Karaoke VideoMaker
The On-Key Karaoke VideoMaker (www.onkeykaraoke.com) is a combination of a video camera and wireless microphone karaoke player that allows a user to capture and create their own music videos through the VCR or other recording device. The VideoMaker comes with a wireless belt-pack remote control, a headset microphone and can hold up to 250 songs (depending on file size). Unique features offered by the VideoMaker include pitch correction, voice transformation, spatial effects, duet, harmony and On-Key scoring.
Nucleus PLUS selected for the On-Key Karaoke VideoMaker
IVL Technologies purchased a development package based on the Nucleus RTOS from an image and audio processor technology company, Sound Vision Inc., which includes an ARM7 TDMI-based chip called Clarity 4. Included in that development package was the Nucleus PLUS real-time kernel.
Similar to the IVL On-Key Karaoke Handheld Player, the VideoMaker was developed with the Nucleus PLUS kernel, a highly optimized, extremely scalable real-time kernel. The reliability and performance of the Nucleus PLUS kernel have led to its wide acceptance in the consumer electronics market. Mentor Graphics' well-documented source code and no-royalty fees business model for Nucleus software is also popular in the consumer electronics market since developers can save money by not passing on the costs of royalty fees to their customers.
