Multicore processors are a staple part of every processor vendor's product offerings these days. Multicore processor come in many configurations from symetrical cores to Systems-on-a-Chip with co-processors. Designers of embedded systems face many application migration issues that need to be addressed to fully take advantage of what multicore processors have to offer.
