Ada and GNAT Pro see a growing usage in high-integrity and safety-certified applications, including commercial aircraft avionics, military systems, air traffic management/control, railroad systems, and medical devices, and in security-sensitive domains such as financial services. Nucleus OS offers a highly configurable kernel and utility extensions ideal for small or high volume embedded computer markets where cost is an issue. PERC Ultra for Nucleus runs on Windows and targets the i.MX21 ARM board from Freescale Semiconductor, and could support any ARM9 or later processor. Arphic joined forces as close partners with Mentor Graphics in order to provide Nucleus customers with superior stroke-based font technologies to include Mobile Font®, HiFont®, and Compact TrueType. To support global languages, Arphic Layout Engine® is a program library mastering text layout of written scripts worldwide, such as Hindi, Bengali, Arabic, Thai, etc.

Stonestreet One, in cooperation with Mentor Graphics Embedded Systems Division, has ported Bluetopia to the Nucleus Operating System. This solution provides Nucleus licensees with the necessary Bluetooth software to support the Hands Free Profile, Headset Profile, Serial Port Profile, and OBEX File Transfer Profile, and has been integrated with Nucleus and its file system. Additional profile support is planned as well. This offering will enable a simple path to Bluetooth connectivity for Nucleus licensees.
