Nucleus GRAFIX

Nucleus GRAFIX is Mentor Graphics' product for creating graphics user interfaces and is specifically designed for embedded systems. We've taken advantage of Nucleus PLUS to combine multitasking technology with a detailed understanding of graphics hardware to harness unique capabilities that make Nucleus GRAFIX exceptionally fast!

Nucleus GRAFIX supports modern metaphors such as windows, text boxes, buttons, fonts and other controls that allow you to create professional desktop style interfaces. Mentor Graphics also recognizes that desktop interfaces do not always work in the embedded world, therefore, Nucleus GRAFIX scales to fit your system allowing you to create a completely custom interface to match the embedded nature of your system.

Nucleus GRAFIX is a portable, full-featured graphics toolkit that contains three valuable parts: Windowing Toolkit for a high-level way to build your interface; Rendering Services for low-level drawing; and device drivers that are highly portable across multiple CPUs and graphics hardware. Many commercial LCD and VGA displays and input devices including touch screen, mouse and keyboard are supported. You can design your GUI using the Microsoft® Visual Studio® software to produce a resource script that is read and converted to C for ultimate integration into your application.
