Catapult C Synthesis, the 46th DAC “Must-see” product according to analysts
It is late Friday evening, DAC is just a few hours away, but the word is out: Catapult C tops the DAC “must-see” product lists of three renowned and independent industry analysts.
Earlier this week, Gary Smith was the first to disclose his top picks. ESL Synthesis was number one on his traditional “What to see at DAC” list.
Only a few hours ago, Bill Murray of SCDsource rolled out his own list of “ten hot technologies to see at DAC 2009″, which featured Catapult C.
But the probably most awaited list was John Cooley’s “Cheesy Must-See List”. This year, John’s list is 26 items long and covers a very wide range of products categories, but on top of the list are C Synthesis and Catapult C.
Preparing RecommendationsMentor Graphics’ recent roll-out of new control-logic and low-power synthesis in Catapult C has truly been acknowledged as a major advance for hardware designers users by industry experts. But the beyond this product announcement and the new capabilities offered by Catapult, there is an even more important and profound reason to this interest. In the past 12 months repeated customer testimonials of have sent clear signs to watchers. C synthesis is entering the mainstream of hardware design and is here to stay.
This is what hardware designers at Hitachi Telecomm and STMicroelectronics will confirm next Tuesday in their DAC user presentations (Mentor booth #3567, registration highly recommended).
The 46th DAC really promises to be exciting, and C Synthesis will be at the forefront of it. If you can’t make it to the conference this year, stay tuned to this blog - I’ll bring you daily updates on the conference highlights.
