Leveraging Calibre PERC for Robust IP Verification
TSMC and Mentor Graphics have jointly developed electrical checks to help improve IP dependability as part of the TSMC 9000 qualification process. The TSMC 9000 certification process for IP now requires reliability verification, leveraging Mentor Graphics' Calibre PERC® to check for electrical issues and improve IP dependability.
This session provides an overview of the benefits of this new validation requirement for TSMC9000 IP and how it impacts the IP you use in your designs.

About the Presenters
Matthew Hogan is a Product Marketing Manager for Calibre Design Solutions at Mentor Graphics, with over 15 years of design and field experience. He is an IEEE Senior member and ACM member and holds a Bachelor of Engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and an MBA from Marylhurst University. He is actively working with customers who have an interest in Calibre PERC. He can be reached at email@example.com.
Lluis Paris is the Deputy Director of IP Portfolio Marketing at TSMC, with worldwide responsibility for TSMC's IP Alliance. Prior to joining TSMC, Lluis was the COO of Emerging Memory Technologies, a Canadian memory start-up that was acquired by TSMC in 2007. From 1997 to 2003, he had several roles in Mosaid, including General Manager of the Semiconductor Division. Before moving to Canada, Lluis was a researcher in the National Center for Microelectronics in Spain. He holds an M.B.A. from Queen's University in Kingston, Canada. He also holds a Ph.D. in Microelectronics and a M.S. Degree in Computer Science, both from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain.
