Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing
Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing is one of the world’s top dedicated semiconductor foundries. Chartered launched the industry's first Common Platform on 90 nm and 65 nm, partnering with industry leader IBM, enabling today’s system-on-chip designs. Chartered is also among the few foundries in the industry with 0.13 µm process in volume production and the first dedicated foundry to manufacture with silicon-on-insulator technology.
Chartered is continuing to take a collaborative, joint-development approach on a technology roadmap that extends to 32 nm. The company’s strategy is based on open and comprehensive design enablement solutions, manufacturing enhancement methodologies, and a commitment to flexible sourcing. In Singapore, the company operates a 300 mm fabrication facility and four 200 mm facilities.
