How to avoid cell name conflicts in chip assembly with automated cellname prefix/suffix
In today’s complex chip design flows, designers receive libraries with physical data from multiple internal and external vendors. The potential for having a cell-name conflict between different libraries increases with the chip complexity. That could result in many instances being replaced with the wrong cell during chip assembly. Renaming cells with a name prefix or suffix with a well-defined methodology could solve the problem.
