Mechanical U2Us are Here!

Hi everyone,

I’ve been a bit silent for the past couple of months but there’s a good reason for it. I’ve been working behind the scenes organizing a few events. And now I’m very pleased to announce our upcoming Mechanical U2Us — a series of Mechanical Analysis Division specific User 2 User meetings which will be held around the world. If you are unfamiliar with the Mechanical U2U series, then you’re in for a treat. Designed as a technical conference specifically for the users of FloEFD, FloTHERM and FloVENT, the Mechanical U2Us serve as a forum for learning and sharing — both from the experts and fellow engineers. Separate tracks will be held for electronics cooling, general purpose CFD and HVAC so you’re not forced to watch presentations that fall outside your area of interest.

Join us at a U2U Meeting today!

Join us at a U2U Meeting today!

The Mechanical U2Us will be held:

These sessions are basically advanced training sessions and are taught by the experts themselves — one session even gives you the chance to meet our Product Managers and ask the tough questions. And despite what the economists say, we all know the harsh cold reality of the business world so we’ve made these sessions very affordable. We understand that you are already making a large investment by attending so we have packed a lot of information into the agenda. We also designed the agendas to minimize disruption to your life; for example, in the UK and France the sessions start mid morning on the first day to allow travel time to the venue and they end late afternoon on the second day to allow you enough time to get home the same day. All in all, this is a great opportunity for becoming a power-user and with very little investment in time and money.

For additional information about the event and the agenda for your location, simply click on the links above. The North American page will go live in about 10 days so please feel free to bookmark this page and return to it in a couple of weeks. And before I forget, if you need help in justifying the ROI of this event to your manager, please don’t hesitate to contact me directly — I’ll be happy to help out.

I should also point out that I am actively looking for presenters for all these events. All presenters will receive an Amazon gift voucher in their local currency (50 Pounds/Euros/ or Dollars) and if their company policy prohibits their acceptance of the gift then we’ll donate the funds in their name to their favorite charity. And the best presentation at the end of the series will be awarded an Apple iPAD.  So if you’d like to make a presentation, please contact me.

We are all very excited about meeting you at one of the local Mechanical U2Us. Do hope you can join us for our first technical conference!

Until next time,
Nazita

I am very interested in using FloVENT for a project that I am doing with Imperial College London involving investigating heat flow around server rooms. Would it be possible to collaborate with Mentor Graphics on this, it would be a great opportunity for you to be involved in some very exciting research!

Interested to know more about the UK event, but unfortunately the link: http://user2user.mentor.com/mad-uk-sept-12-13-2011.html points to information abou the Boston, MA event.

Hi Chris, Ain't technology grand? I'm afraid we've got a ghost in the machine and it'll take a couple of hours to solve it. In the meantime, we'll send information directly to you. Hope to meet you in Hampton Court!
