FloVENT Introduction: Airflow and Thermal Simulations for the Built Environment
There has been an increasing demand for energy efficient building designs in the recent years, along with a focus on indoor air quality and emissions. Consequently, computational tools are increasingly used to help with the Built Environment designs, as these are able to accurately predict the consequences and efficacy of the different designs. Besides, optimization studies can be easily carried out to optimize the ventilation designs.
FloVENT hands-on session
In the afternoon, the attendees will have a chance to try out the FloVENT software for themselves. The full working version of the software will be installed along with simple FloVENT model examples. Instructions will be provided to guide the users on the use of the software.
Participants will be able to get a free 30 day trial of the software after attending this session.
What You Will Learn
The specialist CFD software for the built environment, FloVENT, will be introduced. A few case studies involving a data center and the thermal comfort design for an office space, shall be presented.
