Automotive cooling systems

The Cooling Systems Modeling package enables users to simulate and measure the warm-up time, thermostat response, cooling system expansion, fluid expansion and block temperature. Globally recognized drive cycles are available for transient analysis without the need for third party tools.

Automotive Suite

The Flowmaster Automotive Suite combines the functionality of the Cooling, Lube & Fuel, VTM and Exhaust modeling packages with AVS advanced functionality and can have AC added to it for complete automotive system analyses.

Automotive Exhaust Systems

Engineers are able to model entire systems using the Exhaust Systems Modeling package; from the engine to rear silencer/muffler and to measure the exhaust pressures, losses, flow rates and other performance parameters. Simulation tools include Full Heat Transfer in bends and Weighting Factor for irregular bends.

Airside Visualizer and Segmenter

Accurate thermal systems’ modeling is dependent on the ability to model the air flow through the cooling pack for a range of transient operating conditions. The Flowmaster Automotive Airside Systems Modeling packages enable you to optimize the interactions of close-coupled heat exchangers using automatic air flow path segmentation.

Automotive Lubrication and Fuel

The Lubrication & Fuel Systems Modeling package provides simulation tools to ensure adequate oil flow to all components such as bearings for all operating conditions, minimizing friction, optimizing component sizing and heat management. Additionally it enables engineers to model the entire fuel & injection system from tank to injector. Engineers can investigate tank filling rates, fuel pressures (high and low side), flow rates, temperatures & pressures and injector performance.

Automotive Air Conditioning

Automotive Vehicle Thermal Management licenses, enables users to model the vehicle cabin in conjunction with the HVAC system to provide a total vehicle thermal management solution. By taking into account different thermal loads, air flows, cabin sub-components and environmental factors the cabin component is able to predict the mean temperature of the cabin air space and predict the temperatures of the roof, instrument panel, floor, windscreen and rear window during and following a transient simulation.
