FloEFD Gas Turbine Combustor Demo
Product Demo
Abstract
This web demo shows how to set up a simple gas turbine combustor within FloEFD. The web demo describes the geometry of the model, and the boundary conditions needed for the simulation, e.g. the inlet temperature, mass flow rate, representation of the combustion, etc. Key issues are the prediction of the liner temperature, the velocity in the combustion zone which affects the flame stability, the pressure drop, the outlet temperature profile which affects the engine power, and the turbine root as this determines the blade temperature.
