Computer Simulation of an Aircraft Environmental Control System
White Paper
ABSTRACT
This paper describes the use of Fluid Flow Simulation Software to model a passenger aircraft environmental control system. The analysis simulates the cooling pack and the aircraft distribution system in a single model. The paper details how to use 1D fluid flow analysis to predict the impact of possible design changes on system performance. The object of performing these simulations is to avoid problems that would otherwise be later discovered in testing.
