Flexible EM Engine

For many projects, there is no longer just one EM problem in a design, but several, each presenting unique difficulties that delay overall design closure. HyperLynx 3D EM utilizes a flexible EM Engine that can be used to efficiently identify these issues through local or distributed network compute modes, saving time and resources.

Flexible EM MultiSim ExampleIn the distributed network computing mode, HyperLynx 3D EM has the advantage of running multiple simulations concurrently accelerating the 3D modeling task—the HyperLynx 3D EM Designer imports the layout, prepares the 3D geometry model, while the EM Engine launches simulations and creates the models needed for analysis

When the EM engine is used in the distributed network mode there are normally many EM engine licenses available to accelerate a single simulation. When used in this mode, the user chooses the number of CPU cores to allocate to each EM license and the number of EM engines to use and the software distributes each frequency point simulation to a separate network computer in parallel. Since multiple frequency points are simulated in parallel, the overall simulation is accelerated as a factor of the number of utilized network computers. Complete simulations that take many hours to complete on a single computer can now be done in a fraction of the time.

Distributed simulation runs will require additional job queue management software to efficiently lauch, monitor, and manage overall simulation progress and job priorities.
