Analog Simulation & Analog Circuit Simulation
HyperLynx Analog is a board-level simulation analysis and verification environment that is integrated into Mentor Graphics® DxDesigner™board-design environment.
HyperLynx Analog provides a truly scalable solution for analog circuit simulation, allowing the designer to satisfy their requirements by tailoring the solution through a choice of simulation options. This scalability, coupled with the ability to use a common schematic editor for simulation and PCB entry, significantly shortens the overall development cycle.
Technical Overview
HyperLynx Analog extends DxDesigner to add mixed-signal and analog circuit design simulation to the Expedition Enterprise and PADS PCB design flows. This enables a smooth design process from schematic capture through set-up, simulation and analysis, back-annotation, to layout.
Benefits
- Scaleable simulation solution to meet different simulation needs
- Shortens the development cycle by providing a common schematic editor for simulation and PCB entry
- Ensures design quality and improves manufacturability through circuit simulation and statistical analysis
- Helps engineers keep up with component changes and new device inclusions by enabling continuous circuit evaluation
- Easy to learn and use, even for the casual user
Return on Investment
- Rapid ability to determine proper tolerances prior to layout reduces design marginality and product returns
- The ability to carry out ‘what-if’ analyses eliminates costly prototypes, thus lowering manufacturing costs and reducing waste.
- Easy to learn. Data-centric toolbar, built-in productivity tools, and intuitive GUI guide engineers through the simulation process, ultimately reducing users’ learning curves and accelerating time to productivity
