DxDataManager & DxPDF

Through DxDataManager, you can perform traditional revision control functions, such as check-in or check-out design files, you can sort outdated and current versions, and you can know who's doing what with which design - all over the corporate network or the Internet.

DxDataManager provides design-data-management capabilities to organize, access, and control engineering data that are developed and shared by team members. It lets you view and control design data using commercial browsers such as Microsoft? Internet Explorer™ and Netscape? Navigator™. DxDataManager helps you reduce product development cycle time and produce higher-quality designs, by supporting concurrent design methodologies.

DxPDF allows you to make intelligent PDFs of your schematic. The hierarchy of the design is preserved, nets are cross-referenced, and a search can be performed on any text that is visible in the schematic.

Since PDF is an industry standard and free viewers are available, this single file can be an ideal way to distribute completed designs to users who do not have Mentor's DxDesigner or PADS solutions. DxPDF is also used in conjunction with enterprise-wide data management systems since the single file format and common viewer make it easy to store and distribute schematic design data.
