Enabling Collaboration within the Engineering Team Web Seminar
There are currently no dates scheduled for this event.
Overview
Collaboration is critical in most engineering organizations where diverse design teams are working concurrently on schematics and constraint definition, and also communicating with other teams working on the layout. Managing changes and keeping the team in sync can be such a nightmare that the time savings of team concurrency can sometimes be lost. Expedition Enterprise delivers an innovative approach to managing concurrent collaboration within and across all disciplines of PCB design. This session will highlight technologies for concurrent design engineering and constraint definition, managing concurrency with layout, collaborative design reuse, and integration to optimize RF circuits within the context of the overall system design.
What You Will Learn
- Managing concurrent engineering without having to pay the ‘synchronization tax’
- Improving communication of design intent from engineering to layout
- Creating effective models of formal and informal design reuse
- Collaborating with RF engineers within a common design environment
About the Presenters
David Brady
Dave Brady is the Business Development Manager in the Board System Division at Mentor Graphics. Dave’s focus is accelerating PCB design creation processes. Dave has been with Mentor Graphics for 20+ years and has worked to develop and promote ASIC, FPGA and PCB design solutions. Before joining Mentor Graphics Dave was an application engineer for one of the original synthesis tool developers: Trimeter Technologies. Dave began his career with the Northrop Research and Development Center focusing on custom IC design.
Andy Watts
Andy Watts has been an EDA Industry Veteran for 25 years. In 1984, he joined Daisy Systems as an Application Engineer, where he had a broad range of EDA roles including European Business Development, Customer Support Management, Partner Relations Management and also Product Marketing for Design Creation and Simulation Tools. Andy joined Mentor in November 1999 during the VeriBest acquisition, and now works in front-end tools Product Marketing as Product Architect Manager. He leads a team of 6 architects who mainly work on DxDesigner, CES, I/O Designer and HyperLynx Analog.
