eSight DFM
eSight DFM is a Design for Manufacturability (DFM) tool that provides critical assessment and analysis of a PCB assemblies manufacturability prior to implementation.
DFM is comprised of three elements: Design for Fabrication (DFF), assembly (DFA) and test (DFT). EMS and OEMs must have an overview of the total process. Efficient assembly environments push the fabrication manufacturability assessment to their bare-board vendor and take a more comprehensive responsibility for DFA and DFT.
eSight DFM focuses DFM analysis toward DFA and DFT while maintaining an overview of the fabrication requirements. This focus provides advantages: a more simple user environment resulting in rapid and easy tool adoption, lower tool costs and much higher relevancy of the test data.

Benefits
Faster time to production
Re-spinning designs, multiple cycles of prototyping are reduced or eliminated. The result is a streamlined process through manufacturing that achieves faster time to market and faster revenue generation.
Retention of company knowledge
This tool quantifies and stores the best practices for manufacturabilty. The personnel turn-over being a constant in today environment, accumulated knowledge is retained in an organization; lower demands are placed on it for training.
Lower implementation costs
Savings can be achieved in terms of lower costs form reduced demands on staff to re-do project to lower scrap costs
Improved quality
This DFM tool highlights potential problems in design, following design rules, eliminating the potential for costly rework operations.
