Optimize Your Board Data Transfer from Design to Manufacturing with ODB++

Details

Overview

The New Product Introduction (NPI) phase for newly designed products is where the design organization turns the product over to manufacturing service providers for PCB fabrication, assembly and test. But depending on which methods are used, NPI is a critical stage where time, cost and quality can be easily lost.

This webinar examines traditional methods of transferring design data using multiple legacy formats and compares them to the latest approaches using Mentor Graphics' ODB++ format. Electronics design organizations looking to take the time, cost, and quality-risk out of the manufacturing NPI hand-off process will learn how Mentor Graphics addresses those technical and supply-chain business challenges with a full-flow solution based on the de-facto standard: ODB++.

What You Will Learn

  • The best practices for using ODB++ to transfer board data from PCB designers to manufacturers
  • An overview of ODB++ implementation in the global manufacturing market
  • How Mentor Graphics can help you implement ODB++ across the manufacturing supply chain
